In an incident filled Canadian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton, finally, scored his first Grand Prix victory. Followed by Nick Heidfeld of BMW and Alex Wurz for Williams completing the podium finishers. Followed by Heikki Kovalainan of Renault, Kimi Raikkonen for Ferrari and Takuma Sato for Super Aguri. Then came Fernando Alonso for McLaren and Ralf Schumacher for Toyota completing the top 8 finishers.
The biggest incident was the big crash of Robert Kubica. Thankfully as per the last reports he has just a broken leg and is in stable condition. More details report to follow later.

Even before Fernando Alonso could take the cork off from his champaign bottle for winning the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton vented out his anger & frustration regarding the team order to “take it easy” in the last few laps of the Grand Prix. And this started a possible controversy that is being investigated by FIA regarding team orders, not to forget the flank McLaren and Ron Dennis received from British Media. When we last wrote that the proposed Indian Grand Prix will possibly be held on the streets of New Delhi, it was still a possibility. But as per the latest reports, the F1 track architect Hermann Tilke is currently in New Delhi and he is, said to be, finalizing the proposed track for the street race, thus adding more substance in our belief of watching an Indian Grand Prix in a near future. The FIA has came out with lots of changes for 2008 season. Of all the changes that is high profile is banning of Traction Control from next year. As we wrote earlier, the Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya is hell-bent on bringing Formula 1 to India and our good ol’ Bernie is also very much interested in Indian Grand Prix. While earlier there were talks of building of a new circuit [which is not yet abandoned completely], now there are talks of having a street-race in the Indian capital, New Delhi. Mario Theissen will be keeping an eye on Kimi Räikkönen as the Finn’s career at Ferrari races on … “A driver who wins fits with BMW,” team principal Theissen, when asked about Räikkönen. “I have not worked with him personally, but I know the opinions about him. “He always drives consistently for very competent teams, and perhaps like no other driver he can also cope with a car that is not perfect.”
