Date March 6, 2007

Ralf Schumacher

Referring to the lacklustre form of the Japanese giant’s ‘TF107′ contender in winter testing, the German said: “We have had a catastrophic preparation for this season. There is a gap to the front that we must now work hard to close,” Ralf told Auto Bild. “There is no point trying to hide it; in all probability we are going to have a difficult start to the season.” Ralf Schumacher admitted: “I would be looking forward to the season more if we had fewer problems to solve.”

Welcome to the real world Toyota !! This is second outburst from Ralf in 2 weeks. At least this time he did not said that they’re a “young” team.

TF107 ‘not so good’ - Ralf

Date February 27, 2007

Ralf Schumacher

“My first impression was good,” the 31-year-old Ralf Schumacher Sport Bild, “and my second (impression) not so (good). We are still a young team so you can’t expect us to be up in the top at the beginning but we are looking forward to the season and to changing that.”

It is understood that the drivers are complaining specifically about a lack of grip and stability in the corners, culminating in an average deficit to the front runners of around one second per lap.

Young Team !! If a team need 10 years to finish in top 10 consistently, then we sincerely doubt their capabilities. That also when Toyota has the advantage of using Bridgestone tyres from last year, they should be ahead of all teams who have had to change their car designs since moving to Bridgestone.
