Hydro power for Spyker Formula One in 2007

Oxy Fusion, the producer of innovative oxygenated water, has confirmed today that it will sponsor Spyker Formula One in its debut season in the FIA Formula One World Championship.

“We are an ambitious company like the Spyker team and F1 is the ultimate platform for us to launch our new brand across Europe and the world,” commented Oxy Fusion’s management team.

Michiel Mol, Director of F1, Spyker Cars NV added, “Oxy Fusion is another high-tech sponsor that joins the team ….. Oxy Fusion’s unique properties will increase the performance of the team, which is the most important aspect at this stage.’

Another sponsors for the Spyker, good for them.


McLaren impose alcohol ban

Ron Dennis has banned McLaren’s 2007 driver lineup from drinking alcohol. After his drivers trained with Olympic athletes in Finland, Dennis told the Mirror: “We don’t see why drivers need to have even one drink in the course of a season.”

And what about their sponsor Johnnie Walker ? They’ll be one disappointed lot. But really, Alonso & young Lewis does not have stories floating around of drunk-driving, unlike Kimi. So why enforce such a thing now ?


FedEx moves to McLaren

Williams F1 sponsor Federal Express has moved on to join McLaren. The US firm has been in F1 since 1997 but has spent the last two years with Williams. Prior to that the company sponsored Ferrari and Benetton (now Renault), making a habit of switching from one team to the next depending on which FedEx believes will be the best bet.

It is rumoured that Williams has landed a major sponsorship with the Chinese computer maker Lenovo, the third largest computer maker in the world sinvce it acquired IBM’s PC division. Originally based in Beijing, the company moved to Hong Kong in 1988. It is now headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Another sponsor moving to McLaren ! The “Alonso Effect” is definately proving profitable for McLaren.
