Need I say more about the whole so-called controversy ? As I wrote yesterday there really was no need for any FIA investigation in the whole matter, but the matter was anyway taken upon by FIA primarily because of the media *attention* McLaren & Ron Dennis got.

McLaren - The Team Order Controversy
May 29, 2007
Even before Fernando Alonso could take the cork off from his champaign bottle for winning the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton vented out his anger & frustration regarding the team order to “take it easy” in the last few laps of the Grand Prix. And this started a possible controversy that is being investigated by FIA regarding team orders, not to forget the flank McLaren and Ron Dennis received from British Media.
Brawn linked to McLaren
February 21, 2007
Mere days after he admitted that becoming Ferrari’s team boss would be considered “an option”, Ross Brawn is being linked with a possible switch to the McLaren team. The rumor has emerged in the German publication Sport Bild, which claims that the Mercedes-powered camp might be on the lookout for a successor for Ron Dennis.
It has been suggested that Dennis, who is approaching his sixtieth birthday, might shift his allegiance to Prodrive as the likelihood increases that David Richards’ new entrant will use McLaren cars and a Mercedes engine in 2008.
Wow ! This could be the highlight of next season if it happens, but we think this is just a Rumor and nothing more.
McLaren impose alcohol ban
January 20, 2007
Ron Dennis has banned McLaren’s 2007 driver lineup from drinking alcohol. After his drivers trained with Olympic athletes in Finland, Dennis told the Mirror: “We don’t see why drivers need to have even one drink in the course of a season.”
And what about their sponsor Johnnie Walker ? They’ll be one disappointed lot. But really, Alonso & young Lewis does not have stories floating around of drunk-driving, unlike Kimi. So why enforce such a thing now ?
