First Indian Grand Prix in October 2009

Bernie Ecclestone and Formula One Administration has officially given the nod to Indian Grand Prix to be held in New Delhi in October of 2009. FOA has signed the Letter-Of-Intent with Indian Olympic Committee regarding the same. Also the circuit will be designed by Tilke Associates, the company of F1 circuit designer Hermann Tilke.
Indian GP - More development

When we last wrote that the proposed Indian Grand Prix will possibly be held on the streets of New Delhi, it was still a possibility. But as per the latest reports, the F1 track architect Hermann Tilke is currently in New Delhi and he is, said to be, finalizing the proposed track for the street race, thus adding more substance in our belief of watching an Indian Grand Prix in a near future.
