The Mosely Saga Continues

Date April 3, 2008

The situation is going from bad to worse [if it already was not so] for Max Mosely. Mosely sent a letter to letter to ‘n’ number of people & motor sport bodies, yesterday, whereby he stated his stance on the whole issue. But in last 24 hours, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Toyota & Honda had issued statements where all of them has displayed their disappointments at the ongoing controversy and have asked FIA to look into the matter very seriously. And to make matter worse, the Crown Prince of Bahrain, Sheikh Salman Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa has asked Mosely not to attend the Bahrain Grand Prix this weekend. This, undoubtedly, is a big blow for Mosely.

New Honda not on the pace - Button

Date February 23, 2007

“We’re not on the pace of the top teams, which is disappointing,” Jenson Button told the Daily Mail, he addedd “The positive thing is that there’s a lot more (car development) coming in Bahrain.”

Brackley based Honda launched the ‘RA107′ amid renewed promises of a title challenge, but so far it has not featured regularly near the top of the winter times. Button, 27, was third quickest at Bahrain on Thursday but later spent time at the side of the circuit with a broken throttle.

Hmm .. should we say so much for the another promising year from Honda ?? Or we’ll give then benefit-of-doubt and wait till the season starts with Australian Grand Prix.

New Aguri, old Honda are ‘different’ - Fry

Date February 21, 2007

As reported on homeofsport

Honda Racing

“Their car will be different to our last year’s car,” Nick Fry is quoted as saying by Speed TV, adding that the SA07 is “very, very different” to the 2007 Honda. With the intellectual rights supposedly transferred from Brackley based Honda, the ‘new’ Super Aguri has been built at the Japanese carmaker’s R&D facility in Tochigi (Japan).

Super Aguri

Fry admitted that some similarities between the 2007 Aguri and last year’s Honda are inevitable. “There are people in Aguri now who came from us. Mark Ellis has moved over there, to name but one,” he said. “(So) it will be wrong to say that the (design) thinking won’t be the same, because they are the same people.”

Having “Design Thinking” is quiet different than “Design Copying”. But before we pass a judgment, we’ll wait for Super Aguri to unveil it’s 2007 contender in March.

Symonds sees four-way fight

Date February 18, 2007

As reported on gpupdate

Renault

“To be honest, it has been quite hard to judge because things have been a bit up and down, but I would say that on balance, McLaren and Ferrari have been pretty equal at the front, and BMW are right up there too,” Renault engineering director Pat Symonds said. “But all the usual caveats apply - this is winter testing, and you cannot be sure of the fuel loads other people are running. It is still too early to work out an exact classification.”

Hmm… ruled out Honda ?? And what about Williams & Red Bull, still considering them lower category cars ? As far as we are concerned, other than the four Symonds have pointed out, Williams or Red Bull could spring up the surprise. Honda, even we don’t think they will threaten any team this season. So what do you think ?
