Need I say more about the whole so-called controversy ? As I wrote yesterday there really was no need for any FIA investigation in the whole matter, but the matter was anyway taken upon by FIA primarily because of the media *attention* McLaren & Ron Dennis got.

McLaren - The Team Order Controversy
May 29, 2007
Even before Fernando Alonso could take the cork off from his champaign bottle for winning the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton vented out his anger & frustration regarding the team order to “take it easy” in the last few laps of the Grand Prix. And this started a possible controversy that is being investigated by FIA regarding team orders, not to forget the flank McLaren and Ron Dennis received from British Media.
Say goodbye to Traction Control in 2008
March 30, 2007
The FIA has came out with lots of changes for 2008 season. Of all the changes that is high profile is banning of Traction Control from next year. Which means, next year the top speed of cars will definitely come down and there would be more spectacular sights at cornering.
Renault quits GPMA
February 16, 2007
On friday, Renault announced that they are quitting GPMA with immediate effect, leaving only Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Honda in the group. Their official press release said:
“Renault believes that in order to achieve constructive dialogs with the FIA on the future direction of the sport, it is important to work in consultation with all manufacturers participating in Formula One, including Ferrari and Toyota”
Now that the peace has been restored between FIA & GPMA [late last year] there really was no need to have GPMA. But we still think that it was a good and way of negotiating their demands with FIA, and GPMA should still be kept, albeit in shadows, only coming out strongly when absolutely needed. But Renault’s quitting it now might also indicate that GPMA was formed keeping short-timespan in mind.
