Indian Spyker
September 3, 2007
Yes … in a months time, Spyker would be 60% Indian, with Vijay Mallya and Michiel Mol buying the cash-starved team. And what better news to come back to the world of Formula 1 and blogging.
The news of Vijay Mallya making a bid to buy over Spyker came out nearly a week back, but due to lack of interweb I was unable to share the news. Anyways, existing Spyker Board of Directors have approved the bid from Mallya and Mol and they are given 30 days to wrap up all the legal works.
The news of Spyker preparing for sell-off made rounds around Monaco Grand Prix, but things were not very clear. Then during Istanbul Grand Prix the news became clear enough and it was then that Mallya and Mol made their bid of 80 Million Euros, which Spyker Board accepted exclusively.
What this means, is that Narain Karthikeyan stands a good chance of driving the F1 car next year again. And this also means that Mallya will be pushing much more now for a Indian Grand Prix in coming years. A detailed account to follow soon.

So looking forward to watching Karthikeyan race again. And in 2010 to watch a race in New Delhi, watch an Indian driver in an Indian car… should be awesome

Also Karun Chandhok is possible driver for the team. And Mallya is working to prepare and Indian Gran Prix in New Delhi: Tilke has already studied the place. I have a story about this on my website if you are interested in it: http://xoomer.alice.it/grandchelem

Your blog is nice. I think you should add your blog at http://www.blogadda.com and let more people discover your blog. It’s a great place for Indian bloggers to be in and I am sure it would do wonders for your blog.

Vijay Mallya has revealed in Brazil he wants to re-name Spyker team in “Force India”. I think it’s interesting news for you

Yes the name is confirmed to be Force India, and the 2nd official driver is for a 22-year old Spaniard.

A brave move not to employ an Indian driver, but shows they’re using their heads before their hearts. Good Luck!
